Lots of bloggers are sharing their opinions about their favorite stretch denim legging. I was a little wary of this trend at first since I prefer my jeans to smooth out my figure, but once I found the right pair I was hooked. My favorite by far is the Olympia Legging by JBrand. The faux pockets in the front prevent bulk while the two pockets in the back are functional. The super tapered ankle looks great with heels and is perfect to tuck into boots. Anthropologie has several different styles, including JBrand, Citizens of Humanity, Seven, James Jeans and Joe's Jeans...I even saw a pair by Hue, the tights company! I saw even more in Nordstrom. If anyone has any other input on this style let me know, I'm looking to try others!

I've been on a beauty product kick lately, buying anything and everything to look fabulous. After years of trying different products, I have finally found the most perfect face (and body scrub) and thought I would share that with you.This is Lush's Ocean Salt. For those of you who have never heard of Lush, they are a cosmetic company who uses all natural and fresh ingredients in their products as well as minimal packaging. Most of their products come in bar form - everything from soap to body butter to cleanser. Ocean Salt is a great exfoliator with it's small and large salt grains. It also contains vodka, lime, grapefruit, avocado and coconut. My skin has never felt so smooth and firm. It also tastes delicious, just like a margarita!

Fur and more fur, it's the only thing on my mind as of late! I'm always cold, so I love the feeling of being cozy. My feelings on real fur are somewhat impartial, I would never have a coat custom made for myself, nor buy myself new fur, but vintage fur (and my mom's mink) are acceptable to me. Either way, feel free to share your thoughts on fur, real or fake.

I stumbled upon this while looking for exercise videos on Youtube. This video struck a personal note with me because of my troubled past with eating disorders. I will not bore you with details, all that matters now is that I try to stay in shape by eating right and exercising. As avid fashion followers, we are exposed to retouching every day. In my opinion, I feel that we need to be more aware of the fact that photoshop is extremely common among magazines and throughout the internet, and that kind of perfection is simply not achievable. I embrace the "flaws" about my body because they make me different, and I think it's time that more females do the same.

I know this post veers from the main subject of my blog, but I thought it was worth sharing. Feel free to add your input!

I honestly swear I am going to start posting regularly, this is getting out of hand. Especially since my mind is overflowing with creativity and I haven't had an outlet for any of it. Ugh!
my life in simple terms:

+ work - school
+ boyfriend - money
+ new phone - living at home
+ friends - best friend moving to Florida
I really feel like my style is evolving into something much more mature, where I can envision what I need & don't need, things I want and things I could do without. My wardrobe is starting to blend seamlessly and I have invested in some great classic pieces lately. Like this new bag I bought from Henri Bendel...

I absolutely adore it! I also bought the cutest black flats from Juicy Couture (they have studs on the heel!) and a Juicy Couture trenchcoat. Like I said in a previous post, I have a love/hate relationship with Juicy (lately it's a lot of love though!).

Continuing my current obsession with all things leopard, I bought this blouse from LF while visiting my best friend in Boca. It is by Millau, which the salesgirl told me is a French company. I've tried to find information about them and somewhere to shop online, but it seems to be near impossible. As you can see, it's pretty versatile. I've worn it several times already, most recently tucked into a black leather Silence & Noise skirt with a zipper on the front from Urban Outfitters. It's my favorite shirt of the moment. I'd love to find it in other colors and patterns, so if anyone has any information on Millau, let me know!

My favorite layering piece for fall. The yellow/green works lovely with greys and blues, and the grey looks good with anything. Belt it, let it hang, wear it over a tank, a tee or a long sleeved blouse, with a dress or pants...the possibilities are endless.

I finally went into the Madewell store on Broadway in Soho today. I've been admiring their recent lookbooks and decided to test drive their denim myself. I've also been looking for the perfect white skinnies: no embellishment, no pocket design, just white slim denim. So, imagine how psyched I was when the sales girl approached me in the midst of trying a pair and informed me that since I tried the white denim on I can recieve 50% off?! My lucky day.

I most certainly am not the "greenest" of people. I eat meat, drive my car an hour to and from school three days a week and I wear leather. But I think this Earth Day we should all make at least one conscious effort to improve our quality of life.

My personal goal is to re-use plastic bags which have amassed in my home from food shopping. Whether they be re-used for food shopping, as garbage bags, or for arts and crafts, I feel better knowing I am making some sort of effort.

I would love to wear more eco-friendly clothing, but the prices can be quite high. Here are a few of my top environmentally friendly picks.

If you live in the NYC area and haven't gone to the Film Forum to see Valentino, the Last Emperor yet, you have one last chance to do so! The film has been extended for another two weeks, with various contributors speaking on certain dates.If you are lucky, like me, you'll catch Andre Leon Talley and the director of the film, Matt Tyrnauer!

The film was fantastic, perfectly capturing the essence of Valentino and his last years as a designer. You truly gain a unique perspective of his life while watching this film (and he really is quite funny, whether it is intentional or not!). Get tickets here.
