I've been dying to go on a vacation. Perhaps that is why the Blumarine Spring 2008 collection appeals to me. The combination of frilly lingerie, tough leather, intricate beading, and luxe cashmere in citrus colors pulled together with brown leather belts and the occasional neutral seems perfect for transitioning to warm weather, even if I don't frequent St. Tropez or live in the tropics.Yellow is one of the colors that I plan on wearing a lot of throughout the remainder of spring and summer. I'd love to pair this with a pair of sheer tights to keep the focus on the décolletage. This seems so wearable to me. I love the combination of lace and cashmere on a cardigan. I'd love to wear this look with some brown or gold flats and big sunglasses.Okay, so I'll be honest, this isn't for your everyday female. Take away the hot shorts, add a pair of dark skinnies or perhaps a neutral trouser, and you have a look that satisfies any personality: a little girly, slightly rugged, yet completely cohesive thanks to a monochromatic color pallete. This was my favorite look from the collection. Personally, I would not wear the belt. The dress itself has so much potential: it works well alone for a night out, add some tights, flats, and a cropped blazer and it works for dinner. I have so many more ideas for this, if only I had the funds.

Oh well, a girl can dream, right?
I made a few purchases over the internet today...

First up were a few underthings from the Intimissimi line at Victoria's Secret. So lacy and frilly, I can not wait to wear them under a simple cotton dress.

I also ordered a few things from American Apparel. I love the look of the deep v-neck, but never even considered paying $18 for a plain t-shirt. Well, my luck with finding a man's undershirt to fit like the deep v has been unsuccessful, so I just gave in and ordered one in cream. Then I laid eyes on this gem:

Personally I think American Apparel is slightly overpriced, and haven't fallen for the hype. But this dress is a complete exception: for $36, you get a dress that you can wear over 15 different ways: dress, skirt or top. I adored each way to wear it (you can even make it look like a skirt with suspenders) and this color is just perfect for summer. I even ordered it in brown as well (since it's neutral and could be worn in all seasons). Endless outfit combinations...

Back to the daily grind tomorrow.
